Happy Saturday lovelies! The weekend is finally upon us. I'm so glad I shot these photos last weekend because it's come a torrential downpour in Kentucky today. I hope you all are encountering sunny skies right now, unlike me! I'm so excited to debut my first official "professional blog shoot" photos that Tiffany from Reflections Photography and I shot last weekend. It was my first time of many working with Tiffany and she could not have chosen a better location than in downtown Paducah, an epitome of Kentucky's old world charm. (Kentucky's charm, I know right?!)

I was referred to Tiffany through one of my very best friends who had her engagement and wedding photos taken by her. (They were GORGEOUS!) Having not been completely satisfied with my wedding photos I scheduled a Bridal Session with Tiffany for late spring/early summer and a Bride and Groom Session as well to occur near the Hubby and I's second Anniversary (September). When I first approached Tiffany about doing a session for a blog shoot she was eager and excited to try a new type of photography. With it being my first blog shoot as well I was excited, but I was also nervous because I had no clue what I was doing! With that being said, let me rave on how amazing it was to work with her. Tiffany was so easy and fun to work with, I believe we spent half of the time laughing. We instantly "clicked" and to me that's one of the most important aspects to have in a photographer. (especially one that you will be working with frequently)

For this post, I chose one of my favorite styles, casual chic. My style is all about the practical and comfortable. I paired an adorable lace detailed top in natural white (under $10!!!) with a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. I am literally obsessed with boyfriend jeans right now! (especially distressed ones) I've already purchased two pairs this week and a pair or two of distressed boyfriend shorts. I told you....OBSESSED! The Tory Burch Espadrilles are seriously so comfortable. You would think that with the jute sole that it would be scratchy or itchy, but it isn't at all! I linked a similar and cheaper pair under "Shop This Post" that cost less than half of the Tory's! As for accessories I chose red, orange, coral-orange, and white bauble bangles from Candles & Confetti for a pop of color against my natural white top; and a casual chic white leather Marc Jacobs watch with the cutest pave bracelet that has an attached tag pendant with one of my favorite quotes "A girl should be two things, Classy & Fabulous" from The Silver Loft. Add a pair of silver druzy studs from Lemon Sweet Jewelry, modern aviator sunnies from Coach, and a LV Neverfull MM and my casual chic look is complete!

Thanks for reading lovelies! I hope you all stick around for some more fabulous shoots with Tiffany these next few weeks!

xoxo, Brittiany

How to start a candles and confetti collection

I've had so many of you ask me about my Candles and Confetti bauble bangle collection, "where I started," "how I choose which ones to purchase," "how I pair my stacks," etc. So, I've teamed up with Ashley, the sole lady behind Candles & Confetti to give you some tips on how to build your own collection. Yep, that's right...I said sole. Ashley hand picks her stones and hand makes all her gorgeous pieces all by herself. Not only that, she has a full-time day job as a Medical Social Worker. So, just the fact that she finds time to make all of these beauties amazes me. What amazes me even more is the love and attention to detail that goes into each and every since piece she creates. Each bangle is many of quality materials, unique one of a kind stones, and custom made to you. Those are only a few of the many reasons that I am proud to support Candles and Confetti. All of the bauble bangles that you see on my blog and Instagram come exclusively from Candles and Confetti and I wouldn't have it any other way.

As for starting a collection of your own, the perfect place to begin is with neutrals (black, gray, gold, white, champagne) Neutrals should be the foundation of your collection because neutrals go with everything and can serve as a building block to creating your own unique stacks. The reason that I started with neutrals could quite possibly be because I was scared of color. It may have taken a while, but Ashley slowly but surely introduced me into the world of color. (and I'm extremely grateful for that!)

Below is a stack that includes most, but not all, of my neutrals. These were the first pieces that I purchased from Candles and Confetti.

Next, Ashley recommends starting with blues, pinks, and purples and then greens, oranges, and yellows. I started with Navy first, because navy can be classified as a neutral and can easily go with many colors. Below are a few more photos of bangles from my collection.

When deciding what colors to my collection I took into consideration the outfits that I most frequently wear and the colors that would go best with my existing wardrobe, and that's what I recommend for you. This is one of the ways that I determine which pieces to add to my collection when there are so many that I like. You want to buy pieces that complement your outfit. For instance, if you have a floral top that has touches of green, orange, and pink in the floral pattern wearing green, orange, and pink bangles are going to make the floral pattern of that shirt pop. Below are a few examples of stacks that include both color and neutrals.

Another thing I love about Candles and Confetti bangles is the fact that many of the bangles have variations of the same color. This allows you to achieve different looks with the same bangles depending on the way you turn your bangle. Below are two bangles one pink and green. I've taken photos of each stone on the bangle to show how the same bangle can provide different looks.

The joy of customizing leaves you with an endless amount of possibilities. Ashley and I can't wait to see how you build the perfect Candles and Confetti collection!

You can check out Candles and Confetti on instagram, via website, or you can email Ashley at to inquire about ordering some custom beauties of your own!

Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale Picks

Sunday Funday

Happy Monday loves! I'm so wishing it was still Sunday. Even if that means I have to endure 85% humidity and gail force winds all over again. Because of the ridiculous humidity yesterday I opted for a flowy sleeveless ivory and navy striped blouse so my top didn't stick to my body like glue (literally) and paired it with a pair of dark wash American Eagle cropped denim.  If you can't tell I love dark wash denim and these are super soft and right under $40!!! It turned out to be the perfect outfit to pair with my new sandals from Nordstrom Rack that I'm overly excited about and have been dying to wear because, well, they're sparkly of course! I cannot resist a pair of shoes (especially flat sandals) that have a little sparkle.

Since I'm totally into mint/aqua/turquoise and purple right now I paired my purple, aqua, and mint bauble bangles with a navy bauble bangle to tie in with my navy accented blouse. (All from Candles & Confetti.) For some fun and variety (and because there's no such thing as wearing TOO many bracelets in my eyes) I added my lovers bangle and custom roman numerals super skinny cuff from The Silver Loft. I then added my dog name and auntie bear bangle from Candy Couture Shop to create the ultimate arm stack! Hope you all love this outfit and accessories as much as I do!

P.S. Don't forget to subscribe to my blog by using the "Follow By Email" to the right of this post so you don't miss my collaborative post with Ashley from Candles and Confetti coming later this week for tips and advice on building your collection and creating your own unique and fabulous arm stacks. AND for a look into my personal collection! Fair warning, it's quite large so prepare yourself!!!

I'm Officially a Blogger!

The long awaited (well for me maybe) first blog post is finally here. Let me start by first introducing myself. I'm Brittiany, a 25 year old (almost 26!) Kentucky native. I married my "right out of high school" love in September of 2013. We have one fur child, Avery, who is an 100lb 4.5 year old chocolate lab. I'm a lover of dogs, bracelets and bangles, accessories, and fashion in that order.

If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don't you definitely should) then you already know my motto when it comes to bracelets: The more the merrier! One of the main reasons that fueled my love of arm stacks is that my weekday wardrobe consists of scrubs, so I express my individual style through combinations of bracelets and bangles.

I'll be posting more about that later. So stay tuned because I've teamed up with Ashley from Candles and Confetti for tips for building your collection. Because who better to help you start your collection than the person who helped me start and build my own?! In the mean time you can check out her bauble and connector bangles on her Instagram here or on her website here. Her pieces are not only gorgeous, but are handmade, quality, and one of a kind.

On to today's post, in which I'm a little late getting to because I spent half the day with a migraine. Not fun by the way. One of my best friends was gracious enough to come lend a hand in capturing some photos for me today. Luckily in-between the rain and the overcast we were able to get a couple of useable photos!

I am a firm believer that your accessories are the staple to your outfit. Here I've paired my outfit with some fabulous embellished sandals from Target. Not only are they comfortable but they are buy one get one half off right now! So run not walk to snag them before they're gone!

I promise next post I'll get some better photos of my arm pretties but here I've paired pink and teal connector bangles from Candles and Confetti with The Silver Loft's lovers bangle and custom coordinates cuff and Candy Couture Shop's special date bangle and heart initial bangle.

As for my actual outfit, it consists of a flowy v-neck blouse from a local boutique with a pair of one of my most comfortable skinny jeans in a dark wash. I'm a huge fan of loose fitting tops. They're flattering on any shape and size!

Thanks for reading and I hope you guys will stick around for future posts!
