Shave Society Shave Subscription

Spring had sprung and with warmer weather comes bikinis, shorts, and flip flops. We all know what that means -- we can't get away with only shaving our legs once a week anymore. {I can't be the only one, right?! ;)} Lets face it, razor blades aren't cheap and if you're anything like me you go through razor blades twice as often during warmer months. It adds up, quickly! I've seen a few ads on TV and online for shave clubs and subscriptions and I've always dabbled in the idea of trying one out. But I didn't {mostly because they were primarily targeted for men} -- or at least I hadn't until Shave Society.

Shave Society is a shave club designed for women {men can totally use them too though}! When you sign up for a shave plan with Shave Society, you have the option of receiving shipments every 30, 60, or 90 days. In your first shipment you'll receive a FREE razor handle {choose from 4 different colors, you can see all four colors available in the photo above} and 4 cartridge refills for only $9! No shipping fees, sign up fees, or even cancellation fees -- ever! After your first shipment, you'll receive 4 cartridge refills in each shipment at the frequency of your choice. If you're a big supporter of all things made in the U.S., this will make you just as happy as it made me: the razor blades are made here in the U.S.! Each cartridge has 5 of those {stainless steel platinum coated cutting edge blades}, along with lubricating strips with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E and a pivot head -- ensuring a clean, close, and smooth shave!

Let me just say, when I received my first shipment I was quite impressed. No. 1, I'm a sucker for cute packaging {especially when it includes pineapples}. No. 2, The razor handles are so pretty with the perfect grip -- it just feels really comfortable in your hand. Even though the razor cartridges themselves are plastic they are quality made. No. 3, They deliver a super smooth shave, even better than I expected. And that says a lot, since I'm extremely picky about my razors. Reason being, I have super sensitive skin. When it comes to shaving, I am prone to getting razor burn and/or shave bumps. There is nothing worse than the irritation that comes with that. Even after trying literally 10 different shaving cream/gels {and finally finding one that helped} I would still at least get a few razor bumps. Great news is, no razor burn or shave bumps with my Shave Society razor {even my bikini line}! I got two handles, just because I KNEW that my hubby would try to steal mine. I'm glad I did too, because he LOVES it as much as I do!

Bottom line -- you NEED this razor subscription. And I've teamed up with Shave Society to give you 75% off your first order when you use the code "kentuckycharmxoxo" when you checkout. This link will take you straight to the sign up page! That's 1 razor handle of your choice and 4 refill cartridges for less than $2.50!!! With your first month at such a steal, it just makes sense to try it out for yourself! I'd love to hear what you think, if you signed up to be a member of the #shavesquad, or what color handle you chose {I kind of loved all of them}!

As always, thanks for reading and I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of the week!

Sole Serum

So, I know one would think that high heels would be the best friend of one who stands at 5'2" (okay, maybe just a tad bit shorter than 5'2"). But, they're not...at all. In fact, I hardly ever wear heels, unless I count heeled boots/booties--and the only reason I am able to wear those is because (most of the time) I can wear a pair of socks with them. The truth is, my feet just can't take wearing heels for longer than a couple of hours (if even that) without literally feeling like they are going to fall off. Or at least that was the case until I discovered Sole Serum --or what I like to call, magic in a bottle.

If you haven't heard of Sole Serum it's a serum designed to target and relieve foot pain associated with oh so cute, but uncomfortable shoes. Sole Serum is a blend of lidocaine and natural, safe ingredients that block the foot's pain signals from reaching the brain and also helps to reduce inflammation.

It's super easy to use too! You just apply 2-3 pumps per foot (I apply to my problem areas --my heel, the ball of my foot, and sides of my toes) and wait 1-2 minutes for it to dry. (I usually give it about 5 minutes just to make sure it's completely dry so I don't slip and slide everywhere, because I'm kind of clumsy regardless!) It only takes a few minutes after applying to start soothing those soles for the next couple of hours! And, Sole Serum is also sold in a travel size, making it the perfect purse (or even the smallest clutch) companion just in case you need to reapply or just need a quick fix on the go.

Have you tried Sole Serum? I'd love to hear what you thought about it! Or, if you haven't and you want to try it out you can purchase using the link below! (Trust me, your feet will love you!)

Wishlist Wednesday: Dresses to FALL For

Happy Hump-day y'all! Lately, I've been on the hunt for some fabulous dresses to transition to fall. So...I decided to include all of my top picks in this week's Wishlist Wednesday! ALL of these dresses are under $100 and all but three are under $50! I know I say this every week, but I'm seriously having trouble refraining from getting ALL of them.

I already purchased this shift dress in wine (and let me tell you, choosing what color to buy it in was one of the hardest decisions) and this chambray shirt dress. This swing dress (in olive) actually just came in today--and I have to say that the quality is a lot better than I expected for a $34 dress--seriously, it's so soft! I can't wait to wear it layered with a khaki military jacket, a fabulous scarf, and a pair of taupe booties.

Most of these beauties are already under $50, but there are a couple on super sale as well! This sweater dress is seriously so perfect for fall and it's 40% off (they won't last long). And, I feel like it wouldn't make since if I didn't purchase this tee dress because it's 40% off with the code "awesome" making it just over $16!

I hope you love all of this week's picks! You can shop them all by clicking the links (left to right, top to bottom) or widget below. Which one(s) are your favorite(s)?! I'd love to hear!

Lush 'Karly' Shift Dress | One Clothing Three-Quarter-Sleeve Shirtdress | Topshop Stripe Sweater Dress | BP. Zip Detail Sweater Dress | Old Navy Tee Dress | Forever 21 Chambray Shirt Dress | ASTR Crochet Shift Dress | BB Dakota 'Cotter' Plaid Shirtdress | Lush Long Sleeve Knit Dress | Socialite Knit Swing Dress

Wishlist Wednesday || Fall For Burgundy

Happy Hump-day! I'm pretty excited about this week's Wishlist Wednesday because I've rounded up some pretty fabulous picks--all in one of my favorite colors to wear during fall and winter, burgundy!

Casual and comfy outfits are my favorite come fall. So, I included two of the most comfy items to wear: leggings and a pullover. This boyfriend cardigan and faux leather jacket are perfect for layering and can be dressed up or down.

For a couple of dressier options I'm seriously obsessing over this shift dress and these tights are on sale (wouldn't they look amazing with a navy dress or tunic?!)

Of course--I had to include a pair of ankle booties this week too, as well as these gorgeous velvet pumps! (Aren't they ahh-mazing?) You can also find two pairs of burgundy ankle boots in last week's Wishlist Wednesday (and they are super affordable).

This reversible tote from Nordstrom has been a really huge hit lately and it's under $50, reverses to cognac, and comes with a detachable wristlet.

I hope you loved all of this week's burgundy picks! Which is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below. I'd love to hear from you! P.S. Don't forget to go enter BOTH of the giveaways happening on Kentucky Charm. There's an Ulta Gift Card and a Tory Burch + iPad up for grabs!

GroopDealz Birthday Celebration + Giveaways

Happy Fri-yay y'all! I'm so excited about today's post because I've teamed up with GroopDealz to celebrate their 5th birthday! If you haven't heard of GroopDealz you're seriously missing out. It's my go to online deals boutique that features the most sought after boutique items (clothing, accessories, home decor, stuff for the kiddos, etc) at up to 85% off, for a limited amount of time. Best part is, they add new products and deals daily!

GroopDealz has tons of exciting things happening today to celebrate their birthday (in addition to the amazing dealz going on right now).
1. You can get an extra 15% off site-wide with code BDAY15 until Sunday (9/20).
2. They are hosting a HUGE giveaway on their site with 50 winners! The top prize is a $500 GroopDealz credit! Other prizes include a $250 credit (3 winners), $100 credit (5 winners), $50 credit (10 winners), $25 credit (25 winners), $25 Target Gift Card (4 winners), and Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Cameras (2 winners)! (details on how to enter below)
3. They are giving away a $50 GroopDealz credit to one of my lucky readers! (details on how to enter below)

They sent me a grab bag (see above) that includes a cardigan that is really similar to one of my favorite dealz featured today, the cutest pair of socks, and a necklace. This tribal hooded cardigan might seriously be the softest cardigans ever. It's perfect for fall to layer over a long tank or tee with leggings and booties or with jeans and riding boots. The triangle layered necklace pairs perfectly with the tribal cardigan--tying in the whole geometric-tribal them. And I mean what better than an adorable pair of socks to keep your footsies warm come cold weather! I was actually surprised with the quality of these socks. I find it hard to find a pair of patterned socks that seem to actually fulfill the purpose of socks--comfort and warmth.  I've linked a few more of my favorite "dealz" for you all below.

Don't forget you can get 15% all of the above dealz (and so much more!) by using the code BDAY15!

Now for the GIVEAWAYS: (Yay!)
You can enter the HUGE 50 winner giveaway GroopDealz is hosting by using the widget below or on their website here.

26 Things I've Realized/Learned at 26

In honor of my 26th birthday this past Saturday (better late than never right?!) I took the initiative to think of 26 things that I have learned/realized in my 26 years of life. 26 things that I wish I could tell my younger self. To be completely honest it was pretty tough to come up with 26 that weren't either a.) completely overbearing b.) mortifying or c.) hilarious but so inappropriate to put in writing! I'm sure that many of you can relate to most if not all of these. If not, then maybe you can learn a thing or two from my mistakes!

1. It's okay to be stupid and make mistakes. It's what you do after those mistakes that matters most.
2. You don't always have to get the last word in. It's okay to agree to disagree. Let things go.
3. Love is hard. Marriage is hard. It's not always rainbows and butterflies. It's never like the movies. You have to be willing to compromise, give and take, let things go, bite your tongue, and love unconditionally. Every argument, every tear shed, every sleepless night -- it's worth it. Nothing is better than knowing you have someone by your side every step of your way though life.
4. $150 jeans aren't as cool as you thought they were once you have to start paying for them yourself.
5. Exes are your Exes for a reason. Best you just leave it that way.
6. You will have mid "mid-life" crises. Yes, plural. You will have more than one and they will not be pretty or graceful, but you'll pull through.
7. Be true to yourself. Don't compromise your integrity for someone else.
8. You are going to lose touch with many of your friends. That's life. You grow apart. You will come to realize that the ones you are left with are the ones that you need most.
9. You will lose someone you love. It's inevitable. And it's harder than you ever thought it could be.
10. You are going to get your heart broken. Probably more than once. You're going to think its the end of the world, but you'll survive. I promise.
11. For every thing you try and succeed there will be 5 things you try and fail, miserably. That's okay though as long as you pick yourself back up and keep pushing forward.
12. In order to see your friends, you will actually have to TRY to see your friends.
13. Almost everything that you thought mattered -- it doesn't. As you get older you will realize the things that matter most in life. Almost none of them will be the same as they were in your teenage years.
14. Some people are just toxic. You know it the second you meet them. Avoid them like they plague before they suck you in too.
15. No matter what you do or how you do it there will always be someone who disagrees or disapproves. Realizing you can't make everyone happy will be one your best revelations.
16. You're opinion of "fat" will change. If you're "high school you" could see you right now they would probably freak the hell out. But "current you" knows it's okay and completely normal to not be a size 2 anymore.
17. It's okay to cry. Even if it's for no reason at all. Just let it out. You'll feel much better after.
18. Trust you're gut feelings. They may not ALWAYS be right. But they will be 99% of the time.
19. Taking yourself too seriously is just as bad as not taking yourself serious enough. Lighten up a little.
20. Everything about your teenage years will embarrass you. The way you dressed... your hairstyle, best to just burn any and all photographic evidence. Except your prom pictures, you can keep those.
21. You're parents were right. About everything.
22. Don't speak out of anger. Count to 10, put a sock in your mouth, bite your tongue, whatever works best to prevent you from either making things even worse or hurting someone you care about.
23. You will become you're mother. But that's okay. She raised YOU, right?
24. At some point you're going to be broke. It's never a bad idea to stock up on Ramen.
25. The ability to make hamburger helper and mac and cheese are not cooking skills and eventually you are going to have to learn how to cook an adult meal. If not for yourself then for your partner. Dylan has suffered many a burnt meals because of my lack of cooking skills.
26. Complaining gets you nowhere. Complaining about a situation or person will not change the circumstances. It only makes you look like a negative person. No one wants to be around negativity.

Is there anything you have learned in your years that isn't on my list? If so, let me know! I'd love to hear about your revelations!

xoxo, Brittiany
